“My best eco swap is switching from tampons to a menstrual cup. I thought it would take a lot longer to get used to using the cup, but it was instantly convenient and so easy to use. It has got my life totally changed when it was. My current favorite menstrual cup is from Lunette. I think it’s really good for beginners as it’s very flexible and you can’t feel it at all! “- Lani
2. Ethique hair care and household products
“Every Ethique Shampoo & Conditioner!
Not only do these shampoo and conditioner bars work better than any other shampoo / conditioner I’ve tried – they save you so much plastic packaging … and they last forever so you won’t have to buy them again. Cant recommend enough and will tell anyone who listens! My hair gets greasy quickly and I’ve always had flaky scalp issues, but the Heali Kiwi Shampoo is my must-have on a desert island. I’m also a huge fan of the new Ethique Concentrates, especially the Ethique Multi-Purpose Kitchen Spray Concentrate. So easy to use and so environmentally friendly at the same time! All you have to do is mix the concentrated bars with boiling water and have a fresh batch of multi-purpose kitchen spray – minus the plastic bottle! You can use any empty bottle you see fit. “- Tina
3. Resparkle multipurpose spray and Resparkle microfiber towels
“I LOVE the Resparkle multipurpose spray and microfiber towels. The packaging is so beautiful and it really works – I never thought natural cleaning products were so effective, but that definitely does the job. I feel good every time I use them As I know, it’s much better for the environment – and one time less using a disposable paper towel – and better for my health as I use less toxic ingredients at home. “- Hannah
4. Porter Bowl
“One eco-swap I made recently is getting a porter bowl and not having to buy reusable plastic containers for my groceries.” – Milly
“Switching from non-biodegradable garbage bags to BioBags took some getting used to, but now I can’t live without them. It’s such an easy and affordable change. Tip: Order the largest size for a normal kitchen container.” – Sebastian
6. Life Basics cotton pads, LastSwab and Life Basics produce bags
“Instead of disposable pads, I now use the Life Basics cotton pads, which are ideal for applying toner and micellar water. Last Swab is my first choice for cleaning mascara around my eyes, and last but not least, Life Basics Produce bags are just so good Carrying spinach and other vegetables instead of the plastic bags from the supermarket. “- Nicole
7. Hot pockets
“I recently swapped out my disposable plastic zip lock bags and invested in stasher bags. I love how sturdy they are. You can do anything with them. Freeze fruit, store groceries, reheat leftovers, and store them then in the dishwasher are ready to be used again. I love all the colors to make my lunch for work look colorful and the best feeling of all is knowing that I have reduced my individual waste consumption and no longer in landfill because of all that I’ll add stasher. “- Madelene
8. Bc Refresh Cleanser Complete Cleansing
“I recently started using the Biologi microfiber garments alongside my Biologi Bc Refresh Cleanser instead of face towels when I need to remove sunscreen and makeup!” – Stephanie
9. Face Halo Original Reusable Makeup Remover & Caye Life Flamingo Thermo Cup
I use Face Halo to remove my makeup at night. It feels so good to take off all of my makeup and my skin feels soft and subtle. My second big eco-swap is the Caye Life Thermo Cup. A great transition from not using reusable coffee mugs, but it keeps my coffee hot longer! + Bonus … they look super cute !! – Katey
10. Basics of Life Silicone baking mats and nutrient compost bins
I love to cook and I am a huge user of my oven, couldn’t live without it! I felt bad every time I threw away parchment paper several times a week! I’m the happiest now that I’ve switched to these reusable silicone baking mats and NO cookie dough won’t stick to them.
The other eco-friendly product that I have included in my life is the compost bin! It’s so nice to finally be able to set up a compost bin at home, even if I live in an apartment. – Victoria
